Some of the most popular articles on this blog are actually my reviews on Teami Blends skincare products.

While I haven’t had the chance to do a review in some time, I have continued to use and shop with and use Teami Blends products all throughout my pregnancies and subsequent cancer treatments, as I find them both mental and restorative to my very sensitive skin.

So when I noticed my skin being very textured a few days ago, the Teami Butterfly Pea Beauty Mask instantly popped in my head as something to try to correct this issue.

I have had this mask for some time now, but have been a die hard fan of the Green Tea Detox mask and keep pivoting towards that.

So I finally decided to pull the Butterfly Pea Beauty mask out and give it a good test run to see what it could really do with my textured skin.

So for todays blog post, I’ll be sharing with you a full overview of the Teami Blends Beauty Mask, sharing before and after pictures, giving you some of my best tips and letting you know if this product work for me (and if it’ worth the price).

What is the Teami Beauty Mask

The Teami Beauty Mask is a restorative product designed to smooth and balance out troubled skin.

Crafted with kaolin clay, zinc oxide, butterfly pea, and aloe vera, this product is meant to gently exfoliate the skin and revitalize your skin.

They crafted this mask with an all-natural, vegan ingredients, and cruelty-free formula, packed with antioxidants to help restore your skin.

Teami claims that they product can also help boost hydration on the skin as well, though its unclear to me if this product is meant to leave your feeling moisturized or if it paves the way for your skin to be much more receptive to moisture.

Who Is This mask For?

Be it oily, dry or super sensitive, Teami Blends claims that this mask is for all skin types.

The butterfly pea flower in the formula is supposed to help with rejuvenation of the skin, while the kaolin clay helps to gently remove excess oils, dead skin cells and toxins.

The aloe vera is meant to help sooth the skin, and the zinc oxide in the formula is used for its antimicrobial properties as well as to help lock moisture in the skin’s natural barrier.

Teami claims that these ingredients combine create the prefect formula for an exfoliating mask that will work for just about anyone.

I generally feel like there Green Tea Detox Mask is a solid formal for most skin type, so I’m really excited to try this one.

How I Applied The Mask

Before applying the Teami Blends Beauty Mask, I made sure that I started with clean skin. The mask is suppose to remove all impurities from your skin, however, I always think it’s best to start these mask on clean skin.

With my face still a bit damp, I applied my mask with clean hands. Teami does offer a mask brush that you can use as well for application too. But I couldn’t find mine while I was testing this product out.

I applied this mask in one single layer to my face. I didn’t apply it too thick, just enough to cover my skin, skipping my eyes and my lips .

Then, I waited about 10 minutes for this mask to dry down on my face. After it dried down, I steamed by face using this one here from Amazon for about 5 minutes (and WOW what a spa like experience at home!) and then with a warm, wet wash cloth, I wiped the clay mask off my face.

What I Enjoy About This Mask

What I enjoyed the most about the Teami Beauty Mask is how it dried down on my skin.

With a lot of clay mask, when it dries down, it pulls very tight on the skin. For some people, this makes the mask feel like it working. But for me, it just irritates my skin.

While the mask does feel a little snug once dried, it wasn’t that tight, I can’t move my face type feeling.

This mask also didn’t dry out my skin in a way that similar mask have done in the past.

I can tell that this mask had absorbed a lot of the oils from my skin and I don’t think you’ll want to skip the moisturizer after using this product. My face was definitely ready for a nice toner and moisturizer after I wiped the mask off.

But with other clay mask, I notice that my skin would be so dry that it looked almost ashy and would feel a little itchy. This wasn’t the case at all with the Teami Beauty Mask.

While it did leave my skin a little bit dry, it wasn’t so dry to the point where I felt like my skin needed relief immediately.

This was a very enjoyable mask for me to use and while I don’t think the mask itself is moisturizing, I do really enjoy how it left my skin.

Did It Work On My Textured Skin?

Overall I think the Teami Blends Beauty Mask worked very well on my textured skin.

There was a noticeable decrease in the “pitting’ on my face after my initial use of this product.

While not 100% smooth after 1 use, you could no longer see the texture on my skin from away where as it was clearly visible before.

For me, textured skin is not yet a chronic issue, so one treatment to bring the texture down was good enough for me. However, I can imagine how incorporating this produced maybe weekly can be beneficial for someone who is dealing with textured skin a lot.

Final Thoughts

Overall I think the Teami Blends Beauty Mask is a nice product that’s going to be great with gently absorbing and exfoliating the skin, leaving it looking a lot more smooth than before.

With any clay mask, your skin will feel a bit dry once you have rinsed it off. However I really do enjoy that my skin wasn’t feeling like a desert afterwards. For the most part, my skin felt mostly normal afterwards.

I will say that this mask is more pricey than a clay mask you might pick up at a local drug store. However, you can commonly find it on sale, or use my discount code for added value and savings.

And most importantly to me, this product actually worked on my textured skin. It did not remove the texture completely with one treatment, but removed enough of it for me to feel satisfied.

I think that for people with chronic textured skin issues, this product may be beneficial with multiple uses over time.

I’ve enjoyed most of the Teami Blends skincare range that I have tried and this mask is no different. Im glad that I got the opportunity to try this and do think that I will be incorporating it into my weekly, more through skin care routine.
