It’s safe to say that ya’ll have been LOVING the Lululemon Everyday Belt Bag post that I did ( And THANK YOU for all the support on that post!).
Now that I’m getting back active again with some small hikes, racketball and biking, I find myself living in active wear most days and Lululemon for me has some of the most comfy stuff.
I’m relatively new to the Lululemon train– I only started shopping there last year in January when I was trying to figure out what I could wear after surgery.
The sales associates both at the physical store that I shopped at in Spokane and over the phone were honestly so nice and helpful during such a stressful situation. Coupled with the wonderful quality in lounge and active wear that I’ve experienced thus far, the hype for this brand is well deseverd.
But their stuff is expensive!! Despite the amazing apparel quality, it still can be hard for me to wrap my head around paying $128.00 USD for one pair of leggings.
Fortunately, I don’t have to. And for todays blog, I’m going to show how you too can get some of the best deals from Lululemon

There is a good reason why Lululemon has gained a lot of popularity.
Despite its higher price tag for an active wear brand, Lululemon has become a popular choice for the socially, environmentally and even economically conscious shopper.
Generally speaking, the clothing at Lululemon is well tailored and made from quality materials, so they fit very well, feel comfortable against your body and last a long while.
I use to routinely shop for my althetic wear at Target and VS Pink. And while they have many cute pieces and colors, after a few washes, I would start to experience some issues with either the material not holding up as well as it was, or it not feeling as comfortable to wear anymore.
This isn’t something that I have experienced with my Lululemon pieces personally, as they have all held up great to proper cleaning and feel just as wonderful to wear now as they did when I first got them.
The other reason why Lululemon has gained a cult like following is because for their appeal items, they offer tailoring and repair services.
Services like these are not only luxurious but help make the brand sustainable.
My husband use to go through a pair of pants every few months for work. We switched him over to Lululemon cargo pants that have held up much better–but still alterations and some repair has been needed.
Getting this done was as simple as just taking it in to our local store and telling them what you need. For us, alterations and repair have been free. And if they aren’t able to repair a garment, they have just replaced it for us.
I would just check with your local store first to see what their policies are on alterations and repairs.
I haven’t seen many other athletic or luxury companies have this level of aftercare, making Lululemon well worth the investment.
What To Keep Your Eyes Out For

There are 3 things to keep your eyes open for if you are looking to catch something on sale with Lululemon.
The sale section in stores, the ‘We Made Too Much” section on the main site and their “Like New” program. Each of these sections allow shoppers to obtain quality gear and sometimes at some pretty steep discounts.
I will go over each sale type in its own section shortly. But by shopping these sales, you can easily save 50-75% on new and gently used items.
Last year I ended up purchasing two new Align zipper sport bras for the price of one, effectively saving me $80.00USD.
And sometimes you can even find items that have originally sold out on the main site available for sale as well for a discounted price
In Store Sale Section
The most obvious place to look will be in store in the mark down sections that they have.
In my experiences these sections in stores are small and picked over, often not carrying colors or prints that most people would be interested in.
But If you have a store near you, this wouldn’t be a bad place to start.
It is possible to find some gems in there and if you’re just looking to expand your workout wardrobe with some comfortable fits, without caring too much about your own personal styling, this could be a good option for you.
But I personally think the best stuff is found online.

You can save this link here, but if you go to the main site, select one of the the main categories and then scroll to the bottom of that drop down bar, you will find a section that says ‘We Made Too Much‘
Click on that and you’ll find a treasure trove of Lululemon goodies all on sale.
For me, this section feels a little chaotic, so its much easier to put in a few filters such as my size and if there is a particular type of garment that I’m looking for to narrow my search down.
Even still, it can be a good idea to just peruse around just to see what they are offering.
I have gotten the majority of my Lululemon gear from this section and it’s all been stuff that’s in line with my style and of pretty good quality.
I recently picked up this cropped puffer jacket at the start of January for $99.00USD when it originally retailed for $228.00USD–thats a 56% savings!
I also got this super cute tennis Court Crush dress for nearly 65% off at $49.00USD
Perhaps some of the best deals here can be found with their coveted leggings.
Going from anywhere north of $99.00USD to $128.00USD for a pair, in this section, you can sometimes find a nice pair of leggings for as low as $39.00USD! This is a price that I’m MUCH more comfortable paying!
The finds in this section can be amazing! But the catch is; Lululemon doesn’t hold items in your cart.
So just as quickly as you find these items, they can be gone.
Several times, I’ve gone to check something out only to find that it was no longer in stock. and I’m sure I’ve been the cause of a few people not being able to check out their orders as well.
This is all pretty annoying, but I get it from a sales perfective. The best advice I can give you here is to check out as soon as you find something you want–even if that means you have to check out several times.
Like New Section

Lastly, I want to talk about the Like New program that Lululemon launched just about 2 years ago in April of 2022, as I find it great value for the customer and LOVE that it brings a bit of sustainability to this fashion industry.
The Like New program takes slightly defective and gently worn Lululemon items and creates a market for them to be sold.
In their first year alone, Lululemon was able to keep nearly 130,000 pounds of their clothing out of landfill, which is a much needed start when it comes to textiles waste reduction.
Perhaps the best thing about this program is that 100% of the profits or 2% of Lululemon’s total revenue–which ever is greater, goes to Fashion Climate Fund, which is committed to advancing projects that will help lower emission rates for the fashion industry by 2030.
For the buyers, this program offers a unique opportunity to purchase new and gently used Lululemon items that may not be available in stores anymore as well as turn in their own clothing for a shopping credit.
And the selection here is pretty wide.
Much like the “We Made Too Much” section on the main site, the Like New site can feel pretty overwhelming quickly if you go in it with no direction.
So I recommended adding in search perimeters in the filter section which can be found on the left hand side and go from there.
It’s important to know that in this section, Lululemon categorizes items into two levels of quality: Good As New and Gently Used.
Much like the titles suggest, the Good As New items have no signs of wear an tear, where Gently Used items will show some slight use.
While this program has huge focus on clothing traded in by the consumer, Lululemon also adds their slightly defective clothing to this site as well, saving it from the landfill.
Clothing items that they can’t sell in stores due to a slightly off print or barely there fabric stain get sent to this site,
I bought my Scuba hoodie here that was defective due to a fabric stain for $39.00. That’s a 66% savings!
I was also able to find a nice pair of legging originally selling for $99.00USD for $59.00USD.
My Final Thoughts
Lululemon is an investment for your wardrobe. But it doesn’t have to be as expensive.
I love the fact that Lululemon has created several ways for people to get wonderful discounts direct from the brand.
Shopping in the “We Made Too Much” section allows customers to find new items discounted as much as 65% off while even steeper discounts can be found on their “Like New” site.
I also find it a commendable start that Lululemon has started to put a focus on sustainability with their Like New program.
While much more work is needed to combat the damage that has come from over consumption of textiles, keeping nearly 130,000 lbs of textile waste out of the landfill and helping to fund projects to lower emissions is a move in the right direction.
I asked over on my Instagram how many of you would be willing to shop second hand if that meant you would be helping out the environment or saving a good amount. And SO many of you were like me and have no problem with it!
