Earlier I talked about the Dior Backstage Eyeshadow palettes in this blog here, sharing with ya’ll all the thought and useful insights that I had about this particular product and product line.
I want to continue this conversation by next reviewing the Dior Rosy Glow blushes.
These blushes took TikTok by storm and all the ‘It Girls,’ seem to have this item in their collection.
There was even a point where you just couldn’t get your hands on these. But just because everyone has it, doesn’t mean that it’s going to be a good fit for you.
So for today’s blog, I want to offer you a brief overview of the Dior Backstage Rosy Glow blush, show some swatches of this product and compare this product to other blushes.
While I can’t say what’s going to be worth it to you personally, by the end of this short blog you should be able able to decide for yourself if this item will be worth splurging for you or not.

There are two way to get the most bang for you buck when buying Dior Beauty products. The first being buying from a store that offers Rakuten cash back.
I talk about Rakuten every chance I get because it really is a good way to get cash back on purchases you were already planning on making. Most department and beauty stores that sell Dior are also partnered with Rakuten so you can earn anywhere from 2%-10% cash back on your purchase.
And best of all, new Rakuten members can now get an additional $30 cash back when they sign up using this linkhere!
The second way to get the most out of Dior is to join their loyalty program and shop with them directly.
Their loyalty program comes with so many perks, including gifts for when you reach each new tier, beauty consultations, birthday gifts etc, etc. Plus Dior is always giving a way a TON of freebies when you order from them, so its always worth checking them out and seeing what their current offering is.
The Hype Around the Rosy Glow
The Dior Rosy Glow blushes (at least this reincarnation of it) was first released in spring 2020 with a lot of fan fair.
I swear I saw this blush everywhere on socail media. It helps that Dior’s blushes have always been a hit for many luxury beauty enthusiast.
But it also got a lot of backing from social media influencers and celebrity’s like Kylie Jenner which helped to boost its popularity.
It was originally released in 2 colors: Pink and Coral; with the former being on the cool side and the later being a little warmer. In 2023, Dior expanded the line to include 4 new shades: Berry, Cherry, Mahogany and Rosewood.
These new shades were also well received, selling out multiple times along side the Dior Lip Glow oils.
With the wider range of shades, the blushes became more inclusive and user friendly, which also probably aided in its popularity.
The packaging is small and compact compared to other blushes in Diors lineup making it easier to travel with as well. To me they honestly look like cute little bon bons, making it hard to not want to collect them all.
But the hype isn’t just about the aesthetics. The formula for Dior’s Rosy Glow is also noteworthy.
This pH reacting blush interacts with the moisture of your skin, giving you a more customized color, along with a second skin finish.
I find pH reacting pigments to be fascinating! But I do want to note that the color you get is depended on the pH levels of your skin then moment you apply it and not on your skin tone.
For me, this means these blush apply differently depended on what time of the year, diet, medication I’m on etc. It will mostly look the same, but the variation I can get is noticeable.
How Does It Wear?
The Dior Rosy Glow blush is finely milled and beautifully pressed, giving you an ultra light application that you can build upon for either a more natural or a slightly more glam look.
I have combination skin, where my cheeks tend to get a bit more oily first, and yet I feel like I have no real issues with how this blush sets onto my skin.
This blush also hold up well to sweat. I’m currently in a medical menopause and hot flashes SUCK. But this blush does not budge despite my face getting clammy from time to time.
While this blush won’t hide super textured skin, I don’t feel like it exzargeates it either. I find that it give me a nice, healthy glow to my skin that appears to be illuminating from inside, instead of just sitting on top.
Color selection though is very important with this blush in my option. While the pigmets do react to the pH levels in your skins moisture content, this customized color still isn’t enough to make every shade work for every person.
For example, the original Pink shade is way too cool toned and light to work properly with the skin tone. And the shade Berry on the other hand can appear almost like a bronzer on me depended on my pH levels on my skin.
Personally, I have found Rosewood to be the best overall shade for my skin, as it appears to be mostly the same no matter what my skin is doing.
Similarly to the Gucci blushes that launched last year, the Dior Rosy Glow can also be used on the eyes, making it a versatile piece in a beauty collection.
I like to apply it to my lids and just under for a more dramatic effect. Then, I go back and top it with a highlighter , like this one from the Dior Backstage Highlight Palette.
Over all I feel like the Dior Rosy Glow blushes wear very well and I love that it is multifunctional.

Color Range and Pigmentation
The Dior Rosy Glow original color selection of just Pink or Coral left a lot to be desired in my option.
While Coral ended up working out fine for me, these two colors weren’t enough to satisfy the wide variety of skin tones and shades out there.
I feel like the inclusion of the new 4 shades was much needed to make this blush more useful for a bigger audience.
I particularly like that there are deeper shades of blushes in the collection that have the potential to still appear warm and glowy on someone’s skin.
The pigmentation on this product is very light. As mentioned before, the product was designed this way, so that it can have a skin like finish and be buildable.
But this does mean that you may need to apply more product in order to get the look you are going for.
I did a swatch test on the back of my hand and with my finger, I REALLY had to dig in in order to get enough product to show on my skin.
However I do find that I don’t have to press that hard into the pan to pick up product when using a blush brush.

Dior’s Rosy Blush VS Rouge Blush
I thought that I would add this here because Dior also offers a more premium blush product which isn’t much more expensive. Since I own both, I figured I might as well do a quick comparison.
The Dior Rouge Blush starts at $45.00USD and goes for upwards of $48.00USD for limited collector’s runs.
For not much more than the Rosy Glow ($40.00 USD), you get 1.6 grams more of product, a rouge that is infused with skin care ingredients, helps maintain hydration to your skin and wears beautifully all day long.
When looking at the packaging, the Rouge Blush clearly has the component as well. I love that it comes with a mini brush (prefect for travel) and the component just feels hardier all the way around.
The Rosy Glow component by comparison is more cheaply made. While it does have a mirror (something that I felt was missing from the Backstage Eye Shadows ), the packaging smaller and more basic. This isn’t necessarily the worst thing though, as I find that the Rosy Glow blushes are easier to travel with.

The Rouge Blushes are also more pigmented in my experience. While they are still light enough to give you a skin like finish, the color pay off shows up a lot more effortlessly on my skin than the Rosy Glow blushes do.
There is also a wider range of colors to choose from with the Rouge Blushes as well. Where as the Rosy Glow blushes only have 6 color options all with the same finish, the Rouge Blushes have 21 colors to select from with 4 finishes. The pH actinide pigments is a cool idea in theory, but being able to just select the color I want in just better in my option.
Final thoughts
Overall I don’t think the Dior Rosy Glow blushes are a bad buy. But I do think you can probably do better as well.
While I do like the formula of the Rosy Glow blushes, Dior offers a better product for just $5.00USD more.
The expanded shade range for the Dior Rosy Glow makes it more accessible to a wider group of people and they do look adorable on your vanity. But again, there are better luxury blushes available at this price point that have more to offer, especially if you’re darker skin.
All that said, I think I would recommend the Dior Rosy Glow Blushes as gifts. While the Rogue Blushes would make equally as nice gifts, the Rosy Glow has a better recognition at the moment and is something a lot of people want to try.
I think The Dior Rosy Glow is also prefect for a travel kit. it is much smaller than the Rouge Blush and stacks easily. I feel like I can take a few options of the Rosy glow with me when I travel and not worry about how much room its taking up or if the component is going to break.
Lastly, If you’re a Dior Beauty collector or enthusiast, then I do think you’ll enjoy these as well. While I do think that most will be better served by the Rouge Blushes, the Rosy Glow is over all a decent product that will work well and last all day for most people. So if you’re a Dior lover, you’re going to love these.
Is the Rosy Glow Blues from Dior something you’ve considered trying for yourself? I would love to hear your thoughts down below. And don’t forget to come join our conversations over on Instagram and Youtube!
