This holiday season, I had the chance to partner with the fashion brand JJ’s House to try out some of their dresses for the upcoming events I have.
You all know how much I love fashion, so I jumped at this opportunity. I have seen plenty of ads for this brand over on IG but I was curious about their quality and shopping experience. So for this quick blog, I want to share with you what my shopping and working experience was like with JJ’s House, the pieces I selected and how the quality of the dresses are.

Shopping Experiences
Shopping online for clothing can be an overwhelming experience. If you’re unfamiliar with a brand, you have no idea how things are going to fit or look and feel like. Personally I’m always a little nervous when I order from a site for the first time because it feels like a gamble.
JJ’s House however has removed a lot of that risk for their customers. Similar to certain brands on Amazon, JJ’s House offers a ‘Try On At Home’ program for many of their dresses.
Simply select 1-3 dresses that you would like to try on at home, then return the ones you don’t want to keep within 1 week with their pre printed shipping label. And for the styles you wish to purchase, you can either purchase the dress you received or get one made to order. And currently, If you purchase the dress you tried on at home, you will receive 20% off the purchase price.
Unlike Amazon’s program, there is a cost to this, ranging from $10- $15 pre dress. But I do think the cost is worth it if you’re not ready to commit to the full price of a few dresses to try them on.
The amount of dresses for each style they offer for the “Try On At Home” program is limited and is offered on a first come first serve bases. So if you do see something you would like to try on at home first, you might want to jump on it.
At this time, I’m still trying this service out and I’m excited to come back with an update for ya’ll.
As far a shopping the rest of the site, I would say that the brand has done a good job laying out their digital shop. Its every easy to browse, they have a decent amount of inventory and tons of categories to shop. So many e- commerces brands nowadays have such limited and bland stock that it feels hard to shop for a special occasion with them. But for me, I was easily able to find styles that I liked and shopping around the site felt intuitive.
I also appreciated how fast shipping was. A lot of their products ship within 48 hours so if you’re ordering something super last minute, this could be a good option for you too. It took 8 days from when I placed my order with JJ’s House to when I received it, which isn’t bad in my opinion.
Lastly, I want to talk about size range. Most of their styles range in sizes from XS-XXL and size 0- size 26. I would call this a decent range for sizes.
However, I will say that I had to size up for these dresses. I normally wear a medium to large. However I had to size up to XL for the prefect fit for me. They included a very handy size chart on their site, so it would utilize that when you’re shopping with them.
Quality of the Dresses
Let’s talk about the quality of these dress. because it’s one thing for them to look beautiful on the models, but does it look good on us?
For the price, these dresses are very nice. I will say that they are made of thinner material than some of the more expensive counterparts that you’ll find at Macy’s or Nordstroms. But you’re also paying a lot less for a beautifully constructed dress.
the zippers on my dresses were smooth, the stitch work was tidy and most important to me, the sequins on the dress did not itch my skin. This is a huge win for me because I’ve tried plenty of sequin dresses before that the starchy feeling irked me like no other!! These dresses felt super comfortable and I was able to wear them all night long, look great the whole time and feel comfortable!
Final Thoughts
Over all, I would recommend JJ’s House to my friends.
I feel like this brand has a lot to offer for those in the market for special occasion dresses. I also love that they have the Try On At Home program, as this is a wonderful way for people to dress shop in the comfort of their own home.
I do wish that the material wasn’t as think as it was, and I wish that their sizes where a bit more in line with other popular brands that I shop. That said, these dresses are still very nice and I think most people would find what they are looking for when dress shopping with this brand.
