I’ve been itching to do a Louis button collection video for some time now.

But I’m just now getting around to having the energy to do so.

As I prepare to make my video on my collection, I thought it might be a good idea to sit down and do a quick review of some of my favorite handbags from the House.

This is so difficult for me as I feel like I’ve curated a great collection from Louis Vuitton and have some wonderful gems!

‘But I’ve managed to narrow it down, so for todays blog, I’m going to share with you my top 5 favorite Louis Vuitton handbag–at the moment.’But I’ve managed to narrow it down, so for todays blog, I’m going to share with you my top 5 favorite Louis Vuitton handbag–at the moment.

I will be going over each bag, how long I’ve had it and giving just a tad bit of history.

Of course, I’ll link where you can find the bags pre loved if you’re interested and will leave links to longer reviews when possible.

5-Alma BB

Coming in at No. 5 is my lovely Alma BB.

Originally designed by Miss Coco Chanel herself in 1925, she released the design for Louis Vuitton to put into production in 1934 and it’s been a classic ever since.

The BB version was released some time later in 2010 and has been a mainstay with the House ever since.

I waited forever to add this bag to my collection, and now that I have it I truly don’t understand why it took me so long.

The Alma BB has got to be one of my most practical bags, both in terms of size and style.

It’s a smaller bag, being a BB size. That said it can still carry my daily necessities and then some. You can even get an iPad mini or Kindle in there if you really want.

I love the fact that this bag can be worn several different ways as well.

The bag comes with a shoulder strap that allows you to wear it over the should or crossbody (which I love to do when I have the kiddos). You can also carry it top handle which I think looks so chic for date nights and brunches.

This is also a very reasonably priced bag for Louis Vuitton as well, starting out at $1,760.00USD for new in stores.

However, you can always purchase second hand. I got my Alma BB from Fashionphile for around $900.00USD. Depending on the materials you chose, you can find an Alma BB in great condition for even less on the pre loved market.

4-Favorite MM

The original Favorite in canvas material from Louis Vuitton was at one point one of the hardest bags to get your hands on–even giving purses like the Pochette Meties a good run for its money at a time.

Released in 2005, the canvas version had a good 15 year run before it was discontinued and revamped in 2020.

Since the redesign into leather, hype for the Favorite has seemed to die down. However it continues to remain a staple for those of use who have one for good reason.

The Favorite is a bag with not a lot of fuss to it, which makes it a great bag to use causally for errands and shopping.

With the addition of a gold chain and a removable strap, the Favorite can easily be worn as an elegant clutch, allowing you to transition this hand bag from day to night.

All this coupled with the face that its a relatively small and flat bag means that its also great for traveling with.

Anytime I’m getting ready to hop on a plane for an extended trip, the Favorite MM is one of the accessories that I reach for often.

While the new version of the Favorite feature an S lock instead of an magnetic closure and will run you near to or above $3,000.00 USD, You can still find some of this on the second hand market for between $800.00 USD -,$,1500.00 USD.

3-Neo Noe

The Neo Noe is one of the newer bags in my collection, but a staple for the brand.

The classic Noe is the first known bucket style bag. It was crafted by Gaston-Louis Vuitton in 1832, as a way to transport champagne bottles to and from parties.

Since its inception, the Noe has remained a popular style and has since been mimicked by many different brands.

In 2017, Louis Vuitton release the Neo Noe in addition to the classic Noe, giving a new and moderner twist to this fan favorite bag.

To me, the Neo Noe is just the prefect sized medium bag!

While I love my Neverfull’s, the Neo Noe is a little more versatile in that the strap that comes with the bag has two adjustable settings and you can purchase a top handle for the purse as well, allowing you to carry it multiple ways.

I wore this bag for 2 months straight when I first got it and still gravitate to it frequently when I need to take some time to work outside of the house.

While it cannot hold a laptop, I can hold an iPad, over ear headphone, both of my phones, my Toiletry 26 with all my tech goodies, a water bottle and some snack, so it’s a great work bag for me.

The Neo Noe starts off at $2,030.00USD new in stores. However you can find this bag pre loved for around $1,200.00-$1,500.00USD.

2-Montaigne MM

While I really love my Neverfull MM, my Montaigne MM has got to be my all time favorite work bag!

Designed by the new Creative Director at the time, Nicolas Ghesquière, the Louis Vuitton’s Montaigne was first released in 2014, with the BB sized being released in 2015.

Inspired by Avenue Montaigne, the heart of Paris Haute Couture, the Montaigne MM was an instant classic.

The handbag features 3 compartments, with a zipper to close off the center of the bag. it also features two slip pockets on the outer compartments making it easy to store phones, pens, a quick snack etc, etc.

While you technically can carry a MacBook Air in the empreinte leather version, I don’t recommended it as it stretches out the bag a bit too much for me.

Instead, I love to use this bag to carry my iPad in, a long with a bluetooth keyboard, my desk and small agendas, note pad and pen case. There’s also a bit of space left over so that I can carry my phones and some snacks.

To me, this bag is so stylish and chic and I feel like the silhouette will always feel timeless.

I opted for the leather version, as I’m more drawn to Louis Vuittons leather goods than I am their canvas prices.

The empreinte finishing in particular is one of my favorites as the leather always feels so buttery soft and I think they age very well when cared for right.

The Montaigne MM comes in at the mid range of prices for Louis Vuitton, staring at $2,780.00 USD for canvas and $3,100.00USD for the empreinte version.

You can definitely save a bit more with this bag though by buying pre loved, as it typically sells between $1,425.00USD-$2,225.00USD for the empreinte options of this bag.

1-Speedy 20

My all time favorite bag at the moment has got to be my Speedy 20.

In fact, I loved it so much, I bought it twice!

The Speedy was actually my first ever luxury handbag ( you can read up about that here), so getting the 20 version just kinda felt so natural for me.

I originally picked up the Speedy 20 in the black empreinte leather–which is totally different for me because I’m not typically a girl who likes wearing black handbags.

But the black against the beautiful gold was a combination the I couldn’t resist.

Then, about 6 months later, I went a head and picked it up in the chamallow and latte color while I was vacationing in Hawaii.

One thing that I’ve always disliked about the original speedy’s is how larger they are. They look like true luggage on mr.

I feel like the Speedy 20 rectifies a lot of this issue by scaling down the over all size of the bag, yet still giving us that Mary Poppin’s experiences with the wide openings and larger center apartment.

Final Thoughts

Doing this list has made me so excited to share with ya’ll my full Louis Vuitton handbag collection, as it had made me realize that I have curated a beautiful collection!

It was so hard to narrow this list down to just 5 bags, but I showcased the bags that I myself have been using most often.

If any of these bags interest you, I highly suggest purchasing per loved as opposed to new. That way, you can save a bit of money while also helping reducing the resources, emission and water waste that it takes to make these beautiful pieces.
